Dr. Abdel K. Jibawi practices at
Abdel K. Jibawi, MD, DABFM, is a hospitalist dedicated to the care of Access patients while they are in the hospital. He is a Diplomat of the American Board of Family Medicine.
Dr. Jibawi was born in Chicago, Illinois. His undergraduate education was received at Robert Morris University in Aurora, Illinois, also Waubonsee Community College, Sugar Grove, Illinois, and Moraine Valley College, Palos Hills, Illinois. He received his medical degree from St. Matthews University School of Medicine in Grand Cayman in the Cayman Islands.
Dr. Jibawi completed residency in family medicine and an internship at Manati Medical Center in Manati, Puerto Rico, and has joined Access Health Care directly from his residency.
In addition to his board certification in family medicine he is certified in ACLS and PALS. He is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) and the American Medical Student Association (AMSA). He speaks English, Spanish and Arabic and he is fluent in all three languages.
Dr. Jibawi is married and he and his wife have three lovely girls. Most of all, he enjoys playing with his daughters as well as playing football and basketball. He also loves going to movies, reading, and cruising in his Jeep.
