Dr. Chad Gorman practices at
Chad Gorman, MD is a Florida native having grown up in Punta Gorda, Florida. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Florida.
Dr. Gorman completed his fellowship in sports and orthopaedic medicine at the University of Oklahoma Athletic Department/McBride Orthopaedics in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He also completed his residency and internship at the University of Oklahoma Health Science Center. Dr. Gorman received his medical degree from the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine in Netherland Antilles. While at the University of Oklahoma Dr. Gorman worked with many NCAA athletes as well as treating common orthopaedic problems in the general population. Last year he worked closely with the University of Oklahoma football team on the medical staff. He has covered athletic events ranging from NCAA “Sweet 16 Basketball,” World Series of Softball, as well as multiple marathons and mixed martial arts.
Dr. Gorman believes in maximizing conservative treatment in patients with orthopedic problems as long as possible until they need surgery. This philosophy is to preserve quality of life and minimize pain and discomfort. He and his fiancé (an attorney) recently returned to Florida from Oklahoma City. They enjoy golfing, going to the beach and watching college football.
