Naresh Menezes, M.D. is board certified in Internal Medicine and Infectious Disease, and has been affiliated with Access Health Care since 2004. He has privileges at Oakhill and Bayfront Medical at Brooksville and Springhill, and has additional consulting privileges at Community Medical Center New Port Richey, Morton Plant North Bay Hospital, and Bayonet Point Hospital. Dr. Menezes serves as chief of staff at Bayfront Health Brooksville and Bayfront Health Spring Hill hospitals. Dr. Menezes is also involved in public health care, and has been affiliated with the HIV Clinic at the Hernando County Health Department since 2005. His service at the HIV Clinic is voluntary, and he derives great satisfaction from the care he provides to Hernando County’s public health community. Dr. Menezes received his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from St. John’s Medical College, Bangalore, India in 1989. Dr. Menezes served as a resident physician in the intensive care unit at Holy Spirit Hospital in Bombay, India (1991-1992). In June 1992, Dr. Menezes began his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at St. Luke’s/Roosevelt Hospital Center in New York City. Dr. Menezes performed his fellowship in infectious disease at Long Island Jewish Medical Center in New Hyde Park, New York. Dr. Menezes’ is married to Lakshmi Menezes, M.D., who is also affiliated with Access Health Care. The Menezes’ children -- a son (Sunii) and a daughter (Neha) -- are both in elementary school. Dr. Menezes’ leisure time involves diverse interests: family activities are a priority; he is an accomplished pilot (flying is one of his passions, and states, “My biggest achievement in my life was to go up in a plane by myself”); he coaches soccer at the Tampa YMCA; plays tennis; and enjoys gardening.
