Daria Mazzoni, APRN, MS, received her Master of Science degree and APRN from the University of South Florida in Tampa where she also received her Bachelor of Science degree. She is a graduate of the Pilgrim School of Nursing in Brentwood, New York, with her RN. Ms. Mazzoni also holds credentials as a certified forensic nurse (CFN), Legal Nurse Consultant (LNC) and Certified Nurse Life Care Planner (CNLCP). She also completed the University of Florida’s 120-hour prelicensure Healthcare Risk Management Program.
Ms. Mazzoni provides primary care to adults in a collaborative manner including history, physical examinations, subacute and chronic illness management, medication prescription, referral for diagnosis testing, and review of the results with recommendations, referral to specialists, as needed. She is also responsible for patient education relative to the individual health issue. Ms. Mazzoni serves as a preceptor and clinical faculty evaluator for APRN for multiple clinical programs.

Ms. Mazzoni has authored continuing medical education courses for Access Health Care Physicians and has drafted multiple policies for Access Health Care and assisted in reformatting and the initiation of risk management solutions. She has given presentations on chemical and electrical burns at the CEU Institute and Diversity in the Nursing Profession for Career Central. She has authored an article in the Lawyers’ Log Book, Nurse Life Care Planners Speak for Those with Catastrophic Injuries.
Ms. Mazzoni is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, Tampa Bay Advanced Practice Council, American Association of Legal Nurse Consultants, American Association of Nurse Life Care Planners, FIG Services and the American College of forensic Examiners Institute.
This highly skilled career professional has over 30 years of practical experience in hospital and primary care environments. She is experienced in the management of adult patients, including those with chronic pain. Daria is highly skilled in the areas of assessments, diagnostic and laboratory testing and interpretation, medical management, patient education, computerized documentation, and evaluation of treatment regimens.
She has been treating patients in our community since 1985.
She and her husband have a daughter and son in the medical profession and three granddaughters, one grandson and one great-granddaughter. Her husband is a retired musician and teacher. She loves herbal gardening, reading, and especially her family.
